You keep ownership
Every release starts with a written license describing exactly what UNDRGRND may stream, for how long, and where. Your underlying copyright stays yours.
Before zombies were mainstream, George A. Romero's 1968 masterpiece defined the genre. A copyright error on the title card sent it straight into the public domain.
This film won't stream right now.

Watch at the sourceDescription
If you report from the street, investigate local power, or make documentaries that do not fit an advertiser-safe box, we want to see your work. UNDRGRND is building direct relationships with emerging creators before an algorithm decides who matters.

No surprise exclusivity. A first-window release is optional and must be agreed in writing before a finished film is published.
Creators receive the view-time and revenue information used for calculations. Illustrative numbers are always labeled as examples.
Our proposed creator pool is 75% of net subscription revenue after payment processing, refunds and taxes. The remaining share supports hosting, moderation, insurance, legal and platform operations.
The pool is allocated by each licensed title’s share of eligible watch time. Optional first-window projects may receive extra weighting only when the agreement says so. There are no guaranteed earnings.

Nick Shirley and Andrew Callaghan are examples of the field-reporting scale many creators aspire to; they are not affiliated with or endorsed by UNDRGRND. This program is focused on discovering strong smaller channels earlier.

YouTube’s API identifies public channels by audience size. It does not provide private or hidden email addresses—add only a creator’s clearly published business contact.
Review work manually, record public contact information, then send a personalized note. Suppressed creators cannot be emailed.
Signed-in journalists appear here after submitting their work.

The public page describes a proposed 75% net creator pool. Do not promise rates or exclusivity weighting until the signed creator agreement is ready.
UNDRGRND Docs was born from a simple problem: independent reporting and difficult documentary subjects do not always fit the incentives of large, advertiser-supported platforms.
If you cover intense topics—crime, raw police encounters or unfiltered historical events—you deserve a distribution conversation based on the work, the rights and the audience, not only its advertising category.
We created this platform to give emerging documentary makers and field reporters a direct relationship with viewers. Optional first-window releases are negotiated project by project; creators never give up ownership merely by applying.
UNDRGRND Docs is being designed around subscriber support rather than behavioral advertising. Subscription pricing, launch timing and final creator terms will be published before paid access begins.
The proposed model assigns 75% of net subscription revenue to a creator pool allocated by eligible view time. Net revenue means money remaining after payment processing, refunds and required taxes.
You provide the reporting. We provide distribution tools, a direct viewer relationship and clearly documented terms. Any payment starts only after both sides sign a creator agreement.
Plain-language launch policies. These are not a substitute for a final creator agreement or the full notices required before paid subscriptions begin.
UNDRGRND Docs is in a free pre-launch stage. An account is required to watch, but no paid subscription is currently offered and this page does not authorize a recurring charge. Pricing, cancellation, refund and payment-provider terms will be shown for affirmative acceptance before billing begins. Users may not copy or redistribute films beyond the license shown for each title.
Creators retain ownership of their intellectual property. UNDRGRND streams creator-supplied work only under a written license. The proposed launch model allocates a 75% share of net subscription revenue to a creator pool based on eligible watch time. Any first-window or exclusivity term is optional, project-specific and valid only when written in the signed agreement. Earnings are not guaranteed.
Editorial decisions are not based solely on advertiser preference or political viewpoint. Every submission is still reviewed for lawful rights, consent, privacy, safety, accuracy and platform risk. Prohibited material includes child sexual abuse material, credible threats, unlawful incitement, non-consensual intimate imagery, instructions facilitating serious wrongdoing and uploads the creator does not have the right to distribute. Newsworthy context is considered, but publication is never guaranteed.
We use account information to provide access, secure administrator tools and respond to creator applications. Viewing progress is currently stored in the browser and account records are stored in Firebase. Creator applications are visible to the verified site administrator. We do not sell personal data. A complete privacy notice, retention schedule, deletion request process and payment-provider disclosure will be published before subscriptions begin. Privacy requests can be sent to hello@undrgrnddocs.com.
